Seedless grapes?

Hi Class,

I know this has been bugging you for quite a while eversince we talked about dispersal of seeds. Here's an extract from a website:

"It turns out that most fruits today do not come from seeds. They come from cuttings instead. This is true of grapes, blueberries, apples, cherries, etc (pretty much all fruits except citrus, although scientists are working on that too). A piece of a vine or branch is cut off, dipped in rooting hormone and then placed in moist dirt so that roots and leaves form. Because they come from cuttings, new grapevines are essentially clones of the vine they were cut from."

Updates for P5 Spelling Bee Competition

Hi Class,

1. The spelling bee will be based on the theme - "Fruits"

2. Competitors will be given the names of 5 selected edible fruits only on the day of competition.

3. Competitiors will then skip and spell all 5 fruits without pause between each correctly spelt word

So if you want to help out your two friends, start looking out for names of 'exotic' fruit names (eg. tangerine, calamansi, guava, etc).

Recess Mass Skipping

Hi Class,

Let's all take part in the mass skipping challenge! Remember to bring your own skipping ropes as our Games Room do not have enough skipping ropes and will not issue any to students during recess.
