I know this has been bugging you for quite a while eversince we talked about dispersal of seeds. Here's an extract from a website:
"It turns out that most fruits today do not come from seeds. They come from cuttings instead. This is true of grapes, blueberries, apples, cherries, etc (pretty much all fruits except citrus, although scientists are working on that too). A piece of a vine or branch is cut off, dipped in rooting hormone and then placed in moist dirt so that roots and leaves form. hmm... how about putting a gene from EVERY fruit and put into one plant would be silly?

My mum bought me this book and I think it is a good book...
The book cost $12.85 and the title is 'PSLE ULTIMATE SCIENCE GUIDE' it has everything! From primary 3 to primary 6!
